Out of a total of 1954 applications, Statoil has taken on 181 apprentices in 2010. Statoil’s new apprentices met in Bergen on 2 September 2010. Some will start working in their new jobs on Friday 3 September.

Jefferies Capital Partners, Bourland & Leverich management, Edgen Murray and Edgen Murray management have formed an ownership group to acquire the assets of Bourland & Leverich Supply Co. Bourland & Leverich is one of the largest distributors of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) to the onshore upstream industry in North America, and Edgen Murray is a global provider of specialty steel products for energy infrastructure markets.
